A guy is walking down a road, his mind very distracted and not focusing on where he's going, when he suddenly falls into this deep hole. Luckily, he's not too hurt, but crap out of luck with reaching the top. He waits a while, and sees a doctor walking by above him. "Doctor! Hey, Doctor! Can you please help me out of here?" The doctor looks down at him, writes a prescription, tosses it down, and walks on. The guys waits around some more, completely stuck, and finally sees a priest walking by, and waves his arms for attention. "Father! Oh, Father... can you please help me out?!" he calls. The priest stops to look at him, writes down a prayer, and tosses it in the hole, walking on. The guy is feeling hopeless by this point, until he sees a friend walk by and hopefully calls out. "Hey, Joe! Can you help me out of here?" His friend looks at him, and jumps down into the hole with him. The guy goes "Joe, what the heck? Why did you jump down here? Now we're both stuck!" Joe looks at him and says, "Because I've been down here before already, buddy, and I know the way out."
Paraphrased from a story on "West Wing"...... I know it's cheesy, sorry, but starting to love that show, and written down mostly to remind myself of some things...

What a great birthday weekend. Finished long-running project at work before I left on Friday (which continues to be so nice to me, and we even had a little party!), had lots of good food, cake, and very warm attention/hugs, got myself some pretty things at the mall, and silliness with the guys. Now if -only- there weren't the background emotional issues, and being peeved at my dad's girlfriend for 'misplacing' half of my summer wardrobe when the weather is now getting nicer.... *sighs, curled up and stares, twitching a bit*

Work is freakin' crazy. Mind is freakin' crazy. Schedule is freakin' crazy. Relationships are... right. *flops and mews* Despite that, still flattered by how 'pulled in' to things I am by the nice, small group of coworkers I have. Geez... they really -did- need an assistant in that place... they love me. ^_^ And so cool getting paid to tinker on various interesting projects (some of which I get to go to the zoo with them for!), menial office stuff, and running errands for them. ^_~ Now that I finally have a few of the major practical things taken care of for myself, trying to get back into ceramics again at the art center... always did love playing with dirt. ;P *grins* Plus getting to dress in light, cute things again thanks to the weather, and musing what to do for my 25th this weekend.... wheee. Any ideas?

Yay.... and today marks the day I -finally- got my license! After several years of waiting thanks to the convenience of living in a small town, and feeling awkward, I managed to jump myself up and take care of it. With that done, now it's only a matter of getting that town campus job I'm hoping for, and I'm all set towards a few bigger steps needed out of this rut. Mew!

Well, that went okay, I think. Thanks to everyone who wished well! Chatted with the couple other people who work in the small office I hope to be in, for nearly and hour and a half. o.o Boy. Kinda shifted back and forth between light banter, and work stuff, and what the job would entail/what I knew. Was straining my mind to come up with good examples of things I've done and that I can handle what they want someone to do, and then random stories and jokes coming up every so often... I think they like me. Would be so nice to not have to commute to work, and get something so friendly and small. They said they had just three other people to interview, and would let me know next week... mrf, crossing my fingers. In other news... eh, well... there isn't much other news. Still plodding along with things, feeling stuck, not very creative lately although Milano cookies make things good. Mmm... coookies.....

Hi again guys! Well, I usually avoid most of the stuff that goes around, but this one seems more intriguing. Snatched off of several people so far, and kind of amusing trying to think of stuff that might be unusual or particular to you, huh? Enjoy, and give it a shot.
1. Lived in Montreal for several months. 2. Swam in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Carribean 3. Learned sign language (although not fluent at all) :P 4. Had a chinchilla and iguana as family pets (along with a too-big assortment of cats, dogs, gerbils, anoles, and fish) 5. Had my picture in the local paper three times 6. Been published in several national poetry anthologies 7. Also been published in the same local paper, and the local student magazine 8. Gone horseback riding in the redwood forest (so pretty) 9. Been to the top of the Empire State Building 10. Modeled for a couple art classes, and some photography shoots (fun)

Ucky weather, so-so day. So here's a question for you all.... if you're involved in a situation and/or relationship you aren't entirely happy with, you'd try to change it, right? How come most people have the worst time doing so? Or even know what to do otherwise? Thinking too much... but anyway, I got my first call for an interview today. Only at a discount bookstore (whoo hoo), and I'm more worried than excited, thanks to teeny little problems called 'transportation', 'distance' and 'time', but should be ok. Wish I had started this earlier... should've known some things would take forever with me. At least I enjoy reading a lot and being on the internet, cuz.... yeah. ^_^ Spending most of my time now on a muck I found that instantly pulled me in. If anyone else here is looking for a new place to play where they can get their fill of RP and live in a modern-day city that -seems- normal but under the surface is filled with Highlander-style immortals, dragons, vampires, garou and what have you - all in disguise... come on over! Very friendly, medium-sized, fun area.... just go to twilight.tigerden.com port 6010.
Oddly, despite the 'eh' mood with how I've spent the day and feeling mixed with people, got very easily addicted into going through the archives of a horrible comic book site. Go check out http://www.superdickery.com/ . (Thanks Prismo!) You know you want to. It sounds suggestive, but it's just all these old collected comic book covers of Superman being an ass. Seriously, the 'wtf' factor is so high with some of these, what were the creators thinking? I can't count the number of times poor Jimmy was screwed over, or Lois got killed or married, or Superman was an arrogant bully. Most of them just make you go 'um' or smirk at, but no matter how many times I come back to it and my mood throughout the day, this one has always made me laugh:
Shrunk for your benefit. Just go to the site to see the rest in their full glory. Seriously.... how can you -not- laugh at Superman shaking his booty and going 'Yah! Yah! Yah!' ^_^

So I'm done with school... no job yet... no "heavy" responsibilities.... so why do things still feel full and antsy sometimes? Hard looking around when motivation and laziness keep changing, and not immediately dependent on getting something. Kept thinking, when I was in school, of all the things I could do, or ways I could 'further' myself, once it was out of the way. And so far.... well.... Toby and I are collaborating writing and art for a kid's book, at least... so that's neat.... but wonder what happened to the rest. Heh... I'd make a horrible work-at-home person, though. Evil intar-net. Fallen behind on own projects, and hopeful 'back-burner' stuff.... need to get upcoming holiday taken care of, too. Kinda tough when emotions shifting around about... so here's a question for everyone - what's the best romantic-like gift you've recieved? Think that's it for now.... sorry I don't have any mind-numbing relevations to share. ^_^ Head in too much chaos for that.... *hands out cookies instead*

Hey everyone! So... a month of... not much. Mused posting about the laziness, the motivation, the emotional crossroads, the job 'search', the various weird moments... a lot of that just seems to slip by so much, though. And sorry haven't even been commenting on the posts of the people I read, even... sometimes don't even know what to say. Eh.
Although... I do have a question for all of you... although probably more like those in the States. Saw this underwear commercial on TV a while back, thought it was incredibly cute - this black guy dancing in front of the camera in his boxer-briefs, looking so happy and bouncy it was hard to resist. ^_^ So cute! Unfortunately, I didn't catch the brand, and was giving it up to impossible to maybe find a video of it online, when I came across someone in a community using this userpic:
It's him! Pwease... anyone recognize it or know where the heck from? Even the owner had no idea where she got it... rrrr. Little neko foiled. Hope everyone doing well out there.... just crossing my fingers to get interviews and staying addicted to the same old things. Take care! Oh, and really sorry if irritated anyone with that ever-bouncing gif.... ^_^

Happy New Year to everyone! I personally spent it with my boys, another pretty girl, loads of great non-junky snacks, and a variety of strange media. Whee. Christmas past on the other hand, was quite different this year.... but still nice. Hopefully get a job soon (extended 'vacations' get tiring....anyone wanna hire me?), keep in better touch with others, donate to relief thingy, and poke my lazy self in gear with stuff. Hope to read more now that I *gasp* can pick my own book list! Any recommendations? :) And now since I have nothing left of interesting to say, I'll just say.... 'doot'.

We're having our first snow flurry of the season. ^_^ Too cold though... mrf. And yes, I'm sorely behind in updates. Chalk it up to family, emotions, guys, procrastination, mixed-upness, being buried under piles of writing, the public interest, and graduating soon. Yup. Feel free to say hi, and talk to all later...

So I'm sitting at the library desk during the dead hours, wearing a 'kitty ears' headband and whiskers/nose drawn on my face with a washable marker. Yep...I'm cute and bored. Mew. ^_^
